South America is a 20-minute short film that is in the post-production process and will be released in 2022. It is a work that represents a female story, with the countryside of Brazil as its stage, in a social mosaic, which houses its more distinct shapes, faces and colors.
America is a middle-aged woman who lives as a wanderer on the country's roads. Upon discovering that her boyfriend, the truck driver Raimundo, is being betrayed, she tries to steal his truck, but ends up being abandoned and thrown into the mud. Alone in the middle of BR, she gets a job at a bar, where she meets Aline, a fearless truck driver, who has always fought to conquer her place in a predominantly male world. Together, they travel through the interior of Brazil and create a transforming friendship, which presents new possibilities to America, showing it that it doesn't need favours, rides and boyfriends to discover its path.
